Katie McGovern

Experienced Cheerleading Coach & Choreographer

Born into the world of cheerleading, Katie McGovern grew up learning from the best—her mother, a dedicated cheerleading coach. With a lifetime of experience in the industry, she developed her skills early, serving as captain of her high school cheer team and choreographing numerous MCCA award-winning regional and state competition routines.

Katie’s talent and dedication earned her national recognition, including being named an NCA All-American Cheerleader. At just 15 years old, she had the opportunity to perform in the Aloha Bowl, setting the stage for an impressive cheerleading career. Her passion for the sport led her to train with some of the most respected tumbling and cheer coaches of the time.

In her senior year of high school, Katie was awarded MCCA Cheerleading and Missouri Valley College scholarships. At MVC, she competed with UCA college national champions and nationally ranked teams in the small co-ed division. Her journey with UCA continued as she became a UCA instructor, further solidifying her expertise in the field.

Following college, Katie transitioned into coaching at both the high school and college levels while continuing to choreograph championship-winning routines for high school teams competing in MCCA regional and state competitions. For the past decade, she has focused on USASF All-Star Prep Cheer, where her teams have consistently secured first-place finishes and earned Gold Bids to the US Finals.

Katie holds a Level 4 USASF safety credential in both stunts and tumbling, ensuring that her athletes train in a safe, structured, and competitive environment. Her dedication to the sport, combined with her extensive experience, continues to shape the next generation of cheerleaders.
